could you please post your red5.log/openmeetings.log looking at "Exceptions" inside those files.
I don't think that this has something todo with kernel versions or anything like that. I also don't think that it is OpenMeetings code related. You might simply have another service running on a port openmeetings requires or don't have necessary rights to populate the initial database.
