Hi Moloney,

I do not know if it is also the case, but I was not getting ffmpeg to work in
OM 1.9 and Ubuntu / Debian . It was enough to follow these steps :
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=786095 .

André.

Hi Sebastian

I am using 1.9.1 The downloaded recordings is the same quality as watching
directly from the web interface.
When viewing a scree sharing that appears to be at a higher quality tough.
Any ideas on the sound issue ?

I would love to try a new version of ffmpeg but I can't get it to work with
recordings.

What version of OpenMeetings are you using?
The recording has 1:1 the same quality as the original recorded files.
You might download the .avi and check yourself.

Hi Sebastian

Restored the old snapshot and made the chnage you recommended and its recording
now, thank you.

I have another question about this. It records ok but when there is silence it
produces a sound that sounds like the start of the word I have previously
spoken.
Also is there any way to increase the qulaity of the screen resolution being
recorded. It appears to be lower quality than the live screen sharing.

Any help is much appreciated.

Regards
E.J.

seems like you do not have the codec flashsv in your FFMPEG compiled.

Hi Have recently upgraded to 1.9.1 previously my server was able to record
sessions. Now I am getting an error.
Looking in the logs it looks like ffmpeg doesn't like the flashv paramenter.
Any help would be much apprecaited.
