Not in all parts of this world Monday to Friday are workdays. In Islamic countries often Thursday/Friday is the weekend. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workweek_and_weekend#Islamic_countries
Also it is not clear in all countries if the weekend is 1, 2 or 1,5 days So if there would be such option "show only weekdays" there has to be an option also to define which days are actually work days and which are weekend. Practically this ain't that difficult to implement but I don't think it will be available with Version 2.0. If you need to fast I would suggest you either look into the sources or hire somebody that does it for you.
