I will let others like Sebastian give you a better explanation, but I will explain what I do. I use "svn checkout https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/openmeetings/trunk/singleweba pp/" to check out the latest version and then compile it. I then test it in a test server and if all seems good, then I migrate this version to my production server. This way I can give a production level test on the changes. However so far not many people are using my production OpenMeetings server, so if there are issues it really does not matter much. My greatest challenge and that I have not yet succeeded with yet, it so find a practical way to migrate my current production configuration (with files) into the new production server. I get closer each time, but I have yet to succeed.
