The Mayan prophecy may still be true.

The Mayans had a perfect definition of time. Quite literally if any astronomers
were incorrect in a prophecy, they were executed. So you can expect knowledge
to be held very highly in their ideals.

Never the less, with the conversions the Orthodox Church has done with the
Mayan time line vs. the Gregorian calendar, their are many things we must take
into perspective(of course assuming that this prophecy does hold gravity.)
1. Our calendar has leap years. Mayans was on-target. With generations of leap
years not accounted for in the conversion, it could be at most another 10 years
before we may see what the Mayans noted.
2. The Mayans literally had a perfect definition of time. They were able to
study bodies of space from relative points on earth (they would stand in the
same spot and use the reflections of water to create their view of the heavens)
and based on this, they were able to study, track, and estimate astronical
events that took place in the heavens.

Not supporting or opposing. Just giving a technical approach to this prophecy.
