Hi all,

I would like to inform you all of the availability of OpenModelica packages for CentOS/RHEL 6/7 and Fedora 25. The instructions are available on https://openmodelica.org/download/download-linux and the packages are slightly different from the Debian/Ubuntu packages.

For example, they are shipped as a single RPM including all tools and documentation instead of split into multiple, smaller packages in order to make maintenance easier. The libraries are still split into individual packages though.

One additional feature is the ability to install multiple OpenModelica versions at the same time (1.9.x, 1.11.x and the nightly for now). This is something I would like to implement in the Debian/Ubuntu packages in the future.

Note that CentOS/RHEL needs to enable some additional repositories since the dependencies are not available in the standard repositories.

Note that the 1.9 and 1.11 versions do not include C++ runtime (--simCodeTarget=Cpp) or the Sundials solvers since it did not compile on these OS'es (the nightly was fixed and I did not bother backporting the changes since they were rather extensive).

If you have any questions about this, or features you feel are missing, feel free to email me or use:
