Dear OpenModelica interested, A Beta2 version of the OpenModelica 1.8.0 release is available for download from www.openmodelica.org.
This 1.8.0 Beta2 version is better and more stable than the 1.7.0 release. Please give feedback. This will soon be followed by the final 1.8.0 release. The main highlights: - Faster and more stable OMC model compiler. It simulates more models than previously. - Flattening of the Media library and some models in the Fluid library - Bug fixes in the OMEdit graphic connection editor. - Bug fixes in the OMOptim optimization subsystem. - FMI Functional Mockup Interface 1.0 support for model export and import. See chapter 4 in the Users Guide. - Beta version of a new Eclipse-based very efficient algorithmic code debugger for functions in MetaModelica/Modelica, available in the development environment when using the bootstrapped OpenModelica compiler. - Improvements in initialization of simulations. - Improved index reduction with dynamic state selection, which improves simulation. Known problems in the Beta2: Slow loading of some Media models in OMEdit. MediaTestModels.Air.MoistAir does not yet flatten.
