NTP can be as accurate as ± 50ms on a (not saturated) internet-line. ± 150ms should always be possible. GPS is - in theory - much more precise, but only if you have a GPS-Receiver which is designed for being used at time-servers etc. And it depends mostly on the protocol you are talking to the GPS. If you have a serial- or USB-connection and are using the NMEA-protocol you will get the time rounded to a full second and the datagram arrives somewhen in this second so you would have something like ± 1s accuracy. -- Chris
