I finished a build this morning on gentoo ~amd64. I guess it worked because I did a complete restart yesterday, removing build/tmp/*. The only problem I had was the uic3.pro problem that still isn't fixed. (Bug #747).
My suggestion is to restart, seems to be the general answer to build problems. For me it has almost always worked when I've restarted from scratch, but it tests your patience.. ;-) Regards, Claes On 9/5/07, Thomas Gstädtner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hey people, > > I have problem with the OE-package that won't build here. > Thats the error: > > | make[2]: *** [build/gensupport.o] Error 1 > | In file included from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/rtl.h:28, > | from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/genmddeps.c:22: > | /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/real.h:78: error: size of array > 'test_real_width' is negative > | make[2]: *** [build/genmddeps.o] Error 1 > | In file included from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/rtl.h:28, > | from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/genconstants.c:33: > | /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/real.h:78: error: size of array > 'test_real_width' is negative > | In file included from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/rtl.h:28, > | from > /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/rtl.c:33: > | /home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/gcc/real.h:78: error: size of array > 'test_real_width' is negative > | make[2]: *** [build/genconstants.o] Error 1 > | make[2]: *** [build/rtl.o] Error 1 > | make[2]: Leaving directory > `/home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/build.i686- > linux.arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc' > | make[1]: *** [all-gcc] Error 2 > | make[1]: Leaving directory > `/home/thomasg/OE/tmp/work/armv4t-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc- > cross-initial-4.1.2-r6/gcc-4.1.2/build.i686- > linux.arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi ' > | make: *** [all] Error 2 > | FATAL: oe_runmake failed > > For a full log see: http://rafb.net/p/SsoNeB81.html > > I'm not sure if this is a bug in OE, or a problem with my AMD64-system (I > assume it's my system), so I ask here before posting a probably useless bug > at the OE bugzilla. > To my system: Gentoo AMD64, OpenEmbedded (org.oe.dev) i686 (via the AMD64 > downwards compatibility). > I'd be glad for every suggestion. > > Regards, > > thomasg >
