For info, mokoTTS 0.02 has been released: it aims the integration of a
multi language text-to-speech software on openmoko.
A talking GPS navigation is targeted using for example navit.
If you wish to test mokoTTS, it currently integrates eSpeak +
Speech-Dispatcher using PulseAudio (0.9.6).
Some efforts have been done :-) for limiting the CPU usage: relatively
high latency, 44100Hz/stereo instead of the original 22050Hz/mono
samples from eSpeak. In the next release, these features could be
perhaps better tuned for increasing the speech quality.
