NAND is indeed quite tricky. Took me a while as well to understand how this works :-) The best source of information are the NAND data sheet, the 2442's manual's section on the NAND controller, and the code you can find in u-boot. If you get stuck, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, please don't worry about ECC and such yet. - Werner
