console= is additive though, additional console= just make more consoles. Append method only blocks actual deletion of default console then. It's so specialized it doesn't seem a problem. If the idea of console=[tty0] is to turn syslog traffic on and off for the LCM then it's really a similar issue to loglevel=, both are something you might want only if you are having trouble booting, and both are themselves canned actions. Maybe there's a more adaptive Windows 95 style solution possible where the device-specific code can mark something like PMU spare register bit in Qi and clear it in userspace... if we see the bit set next time in Qi we append these troubleshooting options ourselves in Qi. - -Andy -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkkZwY4ACgkQOjLpvpq7dMoKaQCePbwEYlk7sS/Csh7qgJ7HbEN9 EQkAnjPnuvirqoUVj7m5J3+d3nLWovEP =OhMs -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
