I don't know for the 2 gsm daemons but can I suggest you to implement the
AT%SLEEP=2 command during your port to fix the bouncing calypso bug (see
http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/1024).

I would like to add code and fix to the gsm support but for now the code
it is not available to the
community, so I must spend time to rewrite the support. :)
