It's not critical right now with other stuff that can be more important like the Alsa business. I just mentioned noticing it because we were not sure about the status of having generic GPIO bitbang upstream, now we know that David Brownell's stuff made it in the kernel. If you feel like changing to it after CNY then it doesn't sound bad except it doesn't move us on since we're already working.
