Never experimented with these either.They seem to run a Linux kernel, but how easily will you deploy a job scheduler on a cluster of such cards?
As far as I understand, this a device you program with either OpenCL or a specific language/library.
If so, I'd rather go for a decent GPU rather than an army of these boards.They seem to be designed for delivering peak performance with little energy consumption.
If power is not an issue, I'd go for the big guys. The 66 core version is announced at 90 GFlops for 5W. Sure this is impressive, but high-end GPUs deliver TFlops for 300W... Cheers J.
I looked at the Parallela spec, do you have only 1GB of RAM for the 18 cores?
