I'm not sure why 3.13 works for you. The bug was in generic code. Maybe it 
happens only on 32-bit cpu arch. Are you perhaps using 64-bit cpu?

Yes, I am on 64bit linux. I am also using opennhrp on some TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 
routers, but there are on the kernels which came with OpenWrt.
I send some patches to OpenWrt upstream a few years ago to make it support 
opennhrp and its works just fine since them :)
