Hi Rusty,

First instinct says check MTU for the OSPF problem. I think I remember OSPF
generating large packets to exchange the LSDB information, and in combination
with a wrapping layer, you are bound to run into an packet fragmentation issue.

But of course, keep troubleshooting and let us know if you come up against a
wall.

Thanks,

Travis Hegner

Which linux kernel version are you using? It sounds like you have to recompile

I'm using Linux kernel 3.13.0-24 via Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It appears to be
compiled with CONFIG_ARPD judging by the opennhrp -v output.
Mr. Teräs' observation about the nhs IP configuration solved the immediate
problem I was asking about. I am now having a new problem with OSPF; it enters
a full adjacency status but doesn't seem to actually exchange routes. However,
I have not yet spent enough time troubleshooting that problem to ask an
intelligent question about it.
Thanks,
Rusty
