The models define a minimum OpenNLP version they can work with, currently that is 1.5.0. One day we might decide to change something in our feature generation and need to make the then old models invalid. The OpenNLP version we will have then we do not know today. Not sure how automatic compatibility checking with the help of maven can be done here ? OpenNLP does compatibility checking itself, and is fail fast if the model version is not compatible. Jörn
