The Apache OpenNLP team is pleased to announce the release of version
1.5.1-incubating of
Apache OpenNLP.
OpenNLP is a machine learning based toolkit for the processing of natural
language text. It supports the most common NLP tasks, such as
tokenization, sentence
segmentation, part-of-speech tagging, named entity extraction, chunking,
parsing,
and coreference resolution.
The OpenNLP 1.5.1-incubating binaries and sources are available for download
from our download page:

This release contains a number of improvements and bug fixes compared
to our last SourceForge 1.5.0 release, most notable:
- Wiki documentation converted to docbook
- F-Measure precision fix (OPENNLP-59)
- Perceptron bug fixes
- CoNLL 2003 training format support
- Chunker evaluation support
- Chunker supports now Portuguese Bosque AD format
- Chunker refactoring
