Hi,
Could somebody take a look at this bug?
http://bugzilla.opennms.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2553
*Jeff Gehlbach* <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> accepted this bug. But he don't have
time to work on it.
Does someone have time to implement this feature? We really need this
feature.
For events that have a 'nodeId' and an 'interface' set (i.e.
nodeLostService,
interfaceDown) it's possible to use %ifalias% in a notification definition
because OpenNMS can easily look up the snmpifalias column given an IP
address
and a node ID. Some other types of events, especially trap-derived ones,
may
describe an issue with an interface, but if that interface lacks an IP
address,
then OpenNMS is not able to determine which interface is being referenced as
it
does not have an IP address to go on. I believe Joey is asking for a way to
designate one of the varbinds from a trap as identifying the ifIndex of the
interface in question, and having OpenNMS use the combination of node ID and
ifIndex to look up ifAlias.
Thanks,
Joey
