Something that would make a huge difference for me would be to never write updates if the values have always been 0. I want to collect switch port interface data without having to manually track which ports are connected so I have 'snmpStorageFlag=all'. There are a lot of unused interface both on switches and hosts so this makes for a lot of wasted effort updating meaningless and predictable data - and this probably isn't an uncommon scenario.
