I copied in your changes to my local version of the released 1.12.3, but I can build it directly from git to make sure I'm using the correct code. I'll let you know shortly.
What about the "java.io.File." error. Is it possible that some other bit of code somewhere is interpreting the sting "null" as an actual null ?
