sorry for the long delay before answering.

Actually, it's not always bluetoth that is slow but often the involved 
programs use sub-optimal settings.

In case of Android, it usually uses a muuuuuch to low MTU (maximum 
transfer unit), e.g. when sending to it:
obex_parse_connectframe(): requested MTU=65534, used MTU=1024
