Greetings, I would like to know the suitability of OpenOCD both technically and with regard to licensing. Here are the criteria.
* My company creates a proprietary ASIC with a proprietary CPU design used for a vertical application. * The ASIC contains a proprietary debug hardware interface . * I have developed a proprietary USB to debug interface adapter and a Windows API. * I would like to be able to use off the shelf GUI debugger applications such as CodeBlocks or Eclipse or IAR's IDE. * The resulting OpenOCD based gdbserver will initially be used internally. It may possibly be given to my company's customers in the future. * I was reviewing the "OpenOCD Developers Guild" <http://openocd.sourceforge.net/doc/doxygen/html/index.html> <http://openocd.sourceforge.net/doc/doxygen/html/index.html> <http://openocd.sourceforge.net/doc/doxygen/html/index.html> http://openocd.sourceforge.net/doc/doxygen/html/index.html * The sections called "OpenOCD Interface API" and "OpenOCD Minidriver API" seem to be relevant but do not contain any content. Can someone please provide some guidance. Regards, J.R.
