I think it would be a good idea to merge the SPIFI driver. I've checked the code and it looks sane and absolutely non-intrusive, so it shouldn't do any harm to the release. Unfortunately I don't have the hardware to test it right now, but I will make use of it in a few weeks/month, and it would be nice to have it in the 0.6 release.
