A previous email thread or two reports this problem but it doesn't seem too clear whether it was really fixed or only via a PM (private mail) from Rolf Meeser.
One previous thread: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.debugging.openocd.devel/14879 It seems to have resulted in the patches now in src/flash/nor/lpc2900.c which probe and report this: Warn : Unknown LPC29xx derivative (FEATx=ffffffff:ffffffff:ffffffff:ffffffff) (on a single line). The output from mdw 0xE0000100 16 is: 0xe0000100: ffffffff ffffffff ffffffff ffffffff 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0xe0000120: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 I get the impression from Rolf's contribution in the thread that this is a chip which was unexpected. I too have an Olimex LPC-P2919 like the OP. The legend on the chip top shows it as an original (not /01) chip. Suggestions welcome. I've tried openocd 0.5.0 and 0.6.1 with the same result, which is to be expected judging by lpc2900.c (I'm using an Olimex USB Tiny-H, which appears blameless.) IS Rolf still about, I wonder?
