More power to your elbow, this would be a fantastic capability to have. Quite a lot of the modern CPUs can support Quad-SPI flash which is virtually free and effectively takes the question of available memory off the table (RAM is another issue), such as the LPC43xx'es from NXP....with the functionality that's available in those chips it would be possible to turn OpenOCD into a very powerful debugging tool indeed.
