You do not really need to build libusb-win32 since it provides the dll. For MinGW-w64 you can directly link to the dll. For MinGW.org we provide the dynamic import library libusb0.a (despite its name, this is not a static lib). For libusb-win32 project, the official supported tool is Microsoft WDK (you can only build the driver with WDK). MinGW.org is supported for building the MinGW.org import library and it should work for building the dll (unofficial) and test program as well.
