-I can't explain exactly how I had SWD and JTAG working with my files.

Thank you very much. I just finished building it and get speeds like...
LPC1751...
jtag: 225 kHz; 3.929K/sec
swd: 1800 kHz; 11.656K/sec

LPC1788:
jtag: 3000 kHz; 16.185K/sec

...Well... eh... That was fun raising the speed on JTAG for a while.
Did I just brick my LPC1788 ?
