Great, thank you for the prompt upload! Should you need any help with
going down on Lintian warnings count etc, you know where to ping me :)

As a side note, the rc1 already hit OpenWrt and MSYS2 repositories,
and will be available to Homebrew users pretty soon today (with
--devel switch). Gentoo users can use -9999 version to get the latest
code anyway, so I'm not sending any update requests there yet (if you
think I'm wrong here, please tell me so or file a ticket yourself).

Anything else we're missing to get wider testing?

It would be really nice to shorten the release cycle. Would it be
acceptable for everybody if we release more often (e.g. twice a year)
with some incomplete/buggy features marked as experimental provided
there're no regressions for the existing features? That's not hard to
do but more community feedback would be needed to guarantee
no-regressions policy.
