No, the idea is, to have something really tiny (size of an USB stick) that could be used where galvanic isolations is required (high voltages) or where micro controllers are hard to reach with cables (within rotating structures, within housings). Using Bluetooth LE would allow for cheap adapters with very low power consumption, that could even be shipped with the final product.
