Hi, OpenOCD is only for the Quark family of MCUs at the moment, not for the
Atom family (which are not MCUs). Cheers, Ivan

Does this mean there will soon also be OpenOCD support for Atom
processors like that on the Minnowboard? Or is OpenOCD support
only planned for Quark?

Hi, there's no publicly available information for JTAG on Atom at the moment.

Quark family is the only supported one on OpenOCD (having public debug
operations documents available).
Work on internal and public products for our MCUs which use OpenOCD is going
full steam, soon a new series of patches will be published for review.

Cheers, Ivan

Subject: [OpenOCD-devel] Connect to an Atom CPU

Hi, Does anyone know weather there is information
on how to connect to a Intel Atom through its XDP port.
Information on the Jtag ir commands and definition
of the data to shift?
There seem to be only proprietary debuggers for Intel
available like ITP-XDP from Intel or Lauterbach. There
seem to be absolutely no documentation on the TAP
interface or its internals, except of the openocd Quark
target...
