is there chance that it should be usb?

ipq8064 will differ from apq8064 by amount of cores, missing gpu/vpu parts
but probably modem core (hooked to usb) should be there.
cortex-a7 based core is responsible for bringing up krait complex.
when device is bricked, on usb is seen Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader.

those yellow usb3 ports seems to be in host mode, not device mode.
