Hi Peter,

I did not realized that ZY1000 is now a product from USI ultsol.com

We have not received any further code contribution for ZY1000 since
long time, and maintaining the code without any visibility or feedback
if it's still working fine or even useful is kind of pain. Thus my
proposal to consider dropping the special code and configuration for
ZY1000.

I don't know the internal implementation of ZY1000 but, at a quick
read, in your website there is the mention "ZY1000 has a full version
of NIOS Linux running on it"!
What does this mean for OpenOCD code? Does now ZY1000 runs a generic
OpenOCD compiled for Linux, or it still relies on the special
configuration that requires "--enable-zy1000" ?
Does USI still use the community OpenOCD or you are on a completely
separate fork?
Any suggestion from your side on what is obsoleted and can be cleanup
from this part of OpenOCD code?

Best Regards,
Antonio
