Doesn't http://openocd.zylin.com/#/c/4508/ make it clear that it never made it at far as being merged? There was a Jenkins failure and a question posted by a reviewer that was never answered. ________________________________ From: Maximilian Gerhardt via OpenOCD-devel <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 14, 2021 5:35:11 PM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Cc: Maximilian Gerhardt <[email protected]> Subject: [OpenOCD-devel] [openocd:tickets] #297 Support for more STM8S targets
________________________________ [tickets:#297]<https://sourceforge.net/p/openocd/tickets/297/> Support for more STM8S targets Status: new Milestone: 0.10.0 Labels: stm8 stm8s Created: Sun Mar 14, 2021 05:35 PM UTC by Maximilian Gerhardt Last Updated: Sun Mar 14, 2021 05:35 PM UTC Owner: nobody I'm currently working on integrating debugging support for STM8S chips into PlatformIO by means of calling into OpenOCD. STM8 support works great for those targets that OpenOCD knows about, but they are a bit few. There's a stm8s.cfg base script and then 3 chip series, stm8s003.cfg, stm8s103.cfg and stm8s105.cfg. Some other chips I'd like to work with are e.g. the STM8S207K8 and STM8S208MB chips used on the official Nucleo boards. I've noticed a commit from 2018 by 'Michael Malone' in https://sourceforge.net/p/openocd/mailman/message/36305503/ and http://openocd.zylin.com/#/c/4508/ that added tons of scripts -- 45 new chips would be supported by this! (especially interested in the the stm8s208mb.cfg and stm8s207k8.cfg scripts) But the commit doesn't seem to have made it into mainline OpenOCD as I'm seeing it in the current state of the targets folder. Was the commit rejected? Can I use the scripts of the referenced commit or are there some caveat so that it doesn't work in the current OpenOCD version? I'd be great to see support in mainline for the STM8(S and other..) chips! :) ________________________________ Sent from sourceforge.net because [email protected] is subscribed to https://sourceforge.net/p/openocd/tickets/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://sourceforge.net/p/openocd/admin/tickets/options.
