Actually "echo" writes in OpenOCD log.
By default the log is on stderr, but can be redirected whit command "log_output"
I agree, the documentation is not correct
> @deffn {Command} {echo} [-n] message
> Logs a message at "user" priority.
> Output @var{message} to stdout.

The first two lines are ok, the third should be removed
