Given the conversation about the P&E adapter, I was wondering if there is anyone interested in creating an open debugger adapter. I would think something similar to the Versaloon would be very feasible with a few compatriots to work with. I would be willing to create the hardware, develop firmware, build a few prototypes and give them to people to create drivers / support under various OSes. What I am not capable of doing is creating the drivers and integrating it into OpenOCD but the lack of any out of the box hardware solution is beyond annoying to me.
To head off a rabbit hole discussion, no I am not suggesting we use the Verasloon as a staring place as I am well aware that the author's additional requirements mean that it is not GPL. We could discuss getting him to create a GPL only version, he might as he is part of the way there but I have no idea on the likelihood of success but at any rate I am not suggesting we use Versaloon. I am just saying someone started something similar to my proposal and apparently burned out, I would like to make this a cooperative effort so no one person is critical to success. Mike
