Interesting, somehow your message went into gmail Spam folder,
probably SF.net didn't like something about the contents and stripped
part of it causing DMARC to fail. Doesn't matter much though.

ubuntu 16.04 was released almost 9 (nine!) years ago. Why do you
consider it to be reasonable for building any modern software at all?

The host servicing build.openocd.org is running "Debian GNU/Linux 11
(bullseye)" and uses native GCC "gcc (Debian 10.2.1-6) 10.2.1
20210110" with "-m32" option for "linux32" builds.
