What's the next step for scripting?

Do I commit the work so far and then improve it over time?

Forget all about it?

Anyone?

I'm not a believer in putting this into a branch. I expect a small
trickle of feedback/small improvements over the next couple of
months if I commit it to trunk that I'll incorporate.

I can see a path forward, but I can't work out everything in advance
as I only have a moment now and then to tinker with this. Most of the
work I expect to be tinkering in response to feedback & small ideas
popping up.

Tcl was chosen since it has synergies with the command line handler
in OpenOCD and I'm familiar with it, not because it is a truely great
language that everybody loves and is a good choice to write lots of code in.

I'll keep this file up to date w/my conclusions/plans:
