.jpeg for a picture photo is OK (we cannot define which camera to use ;-) )
.jpeg for a block diagram should have a diagram reference and should 
have a source  somewhere in the doc folder. Also, we should define which 
open source tools we use for creating block diagram and other vectorial 
graph. In this way any developer can rework the block diagram. Anyway, a 
.jpeg  is a bad format for a block diagram.

For the .bit, I was expecting the one from ZY PLD -> you know.
