Note that I didn't remove the comment but tried to clarify it. It is a
warning to
those that want to optimise the code using 32 bit accesses....
I see a lot of unecessary macros in embedded development because
developers don't have faith in the compiler to optimize inline fn's.... almost
always unwarranted fear...
