1) For all platforms Mac & Linux & Cygwin & MingW32 & I suspect others ie: BSD... - If you just "install" the appropriate ftd2xx package in "a proper place" - it will just work. You need to do NOTHING special. 2) If you choose not to install - then and only then do you need these wacky options. 3) How do I unpack a "dmg" file on linux or cygwin so I can look at the MacOS-X (intel) package from ftdichip? Would I see a "dmg" file as a subdirectory? Or would this be "installed" some how?
