Hi,

I have no love for the latest configure automake build crap.

I am running on Ubuntu Hardy Linux with a standard package installed:

d...@dick-desktop:/svn/openocd$ dpkg -l | grep libftdi
ii  libftdi-dev
0.10-2                              Development files for libftdi
ii  libftdi0
0.10-2 Library to control and program the
FTDI USB

This is no less than the world's most likely linux environment for OpenOCD.

When I run ./configure with :

$  ./configure  --enable-dummy --enable-ft2232_libftdi
--with-ftd2xx-lib=shared

I get:

checking Build & Link with libftdi...... configure: error: Cannot build
& run test program using libftdi

So the build environment will no longer support this standard linux
environment.

Please help me. automake and I are not on speaking terms.

Dick
