I don't think that will be the case here. Or maybe I am saying the same 
thing but from a different angle.

1)  The ARM core (what I call the CPU) will have a fixed TAP_ID - arm 
sets that standard.

We have this.

2)  This type of chip - is a boundary scan testable part - (TI is big 
time into this sort of stuff - and so is the cell phone industry) so 
somewhere there will be a TAPID that tells us exactly *WHICH* omap the 
chip is - we need to know/understand that number, and it is a very 
important number we need to have.

I think we have this - it would probably be the tap id of the "icepick".

The rest... well - we'll deal with it when we have another omap3... 
whatever...
