I must side with David here.  Yes, please do flood the list with 10 
emails (10 emails is not _that_ bad), and prefix your subject line with 
[PATCH 1/10] and so on.  This way it is easy for people uninterested in 
such patches to skip/delete the entire series.  The burden should be on 
the submitter side and not on the reviewers side.
