Do you have another adapter you can borrow and test with, not "usbprog"? Maybe from one of the Luminary eval kits? First thing to estabish is whether the issue is with the driver for "usbprog" or with something else. I'd guess that it's usbprog, either its driver or its firmware, but that's ... just a guess. ;) Not all the JTAG adapters seem to have gotten the same level of testing.
