No. The events stay. This is the gdb_detach command. In fact you
raise a good point, if gdb_detach causes something to happen,
then the events can't "undo" that necessarily,  i.e. another argument
to retire gdb_detach. It would leave the events 100% in control
over what happens.

gdb_detach should be 100% equivalent to writing some code
in the gdb-detach handler, i.e. superfluous.
