Exactly as I thought before - gcc 3.4.5 is oooooold. I've managed to compile a i686-w64-mingw32 crosscompiler (using gcc 4.4.2 and most recent versions of everything) and this one can compile openocd-0.4.0-rc1 without problems (and the executable works on Windows (; ! ).
