Hi everyone,

As I already wrote on the beagleboard mailing list, I'm in my last semester and interested to participate in Google Summer of Code. I'm especially interested in improving the JTAG support for OMAP3 significantly. In fact, I'm trying right now to get this approved as my final thesis project at the same time, so I could be working on this full time for 6 month.

What is the current state of the Cortex A8 support? Is the info on[1]
still up to date? I guess the final goal would be to be able to fully
debug Linux as well as other OS's using OpenOCD(I'm also interested in
getting this to work with Symbian, as a cheap solution to debug the kernel is currently missing completly).

As I do not have too much insight into the current state, would
someone be able to break down the missing task into smaller steps? I
could then propose this to my university supervisor at the same time.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Best regards,
Max
