IANAL, but stating your intentions publicly to violate the GPL license does not improve your standing in any way... The contributors are working with SFLC(as posted a while ago) to get in place the routines to handle this the right way and while it would be unsavory to solicit evidence of GPL violations we forward what we are handed to our contact at SFLC so he can work with it. Lawyers in general keep their cards close to their chest, it's a bit like playing cards, so if you don't see a lot of activity, doesn't mean that nothing isn't happening.... ;-) Big players know that these things can take a long time and have huge impacts, so they rarely blatantly ignore GPL. Ignorance does exist in large organizations though... Please feel free to email SFLC(you have the contact information) or me the details of the violation and I'll give it for our SFLC contact to chew on. -- Meet us in Paris at rts EMBEDDED SYSTEMS 2010 - March 30. and April 1. http://www.zylin.com/events_rts.html Øyvind Harboe US toll free 1-866-980-3434 / International +47 51 63 25 00 http://www.zylin.com/zy1000.html ARM7 ARM9 ARM11 XScale Cortex JTAG debugger and flash programmer _______________________________________________ Openocd-development mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/openocd-development
